Boundless Reading is a blog written by an English professor and a publishing professional focusing on creating diverse, well-crafted books and resources and making these available to all potential readers and users. Created in a culture in the United States in which book bans and censorship present an ever-growing threat to literacy, multiculturalism and even arguably to democracy itself, this blog was inspired by the need to both promote diverse publishing and protect the availability of these publications for all people, everywhere.
To these ends, our website has several focuses:
- Examining and promoting books and resources that accurately portray and deepen our appreciation for the richly diverse, culturally complex and sophisticated world in which we live.
- Examining and promoting technological resources that facilitate the distribution and availability of these diverse publications.
- Examining and promoting technological resources which enhance accessibility for all potential readers and users.
- Defending the availability of books and resources when access is threatened by ideologies and systems fighting for limited inclusion and representation.
